have an extensive knowledge of the area's wedding venues, regularly playing
the top hotels around Gretna and Dumfries. We pride ourselves on the quality
of entertainment we provide and our DJs are no exception to the
rule.
All our DJs are experienced, professional and reliable.
With
our personal touch, our professional sound and lighting systems, and
our large music collections, we will make your wedding reception the success
it should be. Our DJ will co-ordinate all activities with the other members
of the parties professional team (i.e., caterers, video, photographer)
to ensure that your reception flows smoothly and all of your memories
are caught on film. If
required, our DJ will announce all of the special ceremonies (grand entrance,
first dance, cake-cutting, father/daughter, mother/son dances, throwing
the bouquet, buffet etc.) that you choose to incorporate into your evening
reception.
At
the start of the evening as your guests are arriving we will play
a selection of background music, giving you a chance to greet your guests
and allowing them to comfortably interact without having to talk above
the volume of the music (the music is also turned down to a background
level during the buffet). Once your guests have arrived we will begin
the evening with the traditional first dance of the Bride and Groom followed
by the father/daughter, mother/son dances, then a few slow dances for
the bridal party and guests. All of these will have been carefully selected
by yourself and your partner prior to the evenings reception.
Then
the party moves into full swing - With a music collection spanning
over 50 years, we can cater for most tastes, be it 60's, 70's, 80's, R&B,
Country, Rock'n'Roll, Dance, or the latest chart hits.
We constantly "read the crowd" and adjust our music and guest
interaction accordingly, and with your approval, we will gladly accept
appropriate requests from your guests both on the night and in advance.
We can also (at your option) include some Ceilidh or traditional Scottish
dancing.
All of this is done without taking the spotlight away from the Bride and
Groom.
Our
goal is to create and maintain a fun party atmosphere while recognising
that you are the true star of the event.
We
try to ensure that all of our mobile disco's and wedding DJ's carry public
liability insurance and that their equipment is regularly portable appliance
tested (PAT) and safety checked.
